We are pleased to announce the start of the next ringing camp on Lake Ludaš in the organisation of Riparia Association!

The camp will last 6 weeks, from July 13 to August 24. Each week is led by its own curator.

At the camp, you will be able to learn how to work with birds under the guidance of experienced ornithologists. In addition to birds, it is also planned to tag pond turtles.

Participation is possible only by prior appointment. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is paid for in the amount of 12,000 dinars for the whole week or 1,750 dinars per day.

You can sign up for the whole week, or for one or more days on a first come, first served basis. The first 3 weeks are available for registration (from July 13 to August 3).

Children under 12 years old can participate with their parents, older children – independently.

Work with birds begins at dawn and ends around sunset, with a break during the day for the hottest time.

Volunteers live in the Visitor Center of the Palic-Ludaš Nature Reserve in rooms with single and bunk beds for 4-10 people. You should bring weather-appropriate and changeable clothes, personal hygiene products, a personal first aid kit, including mosquito and tick repellents, and a headlamp would also be useful.

Electricity and a bathroom with running water are available in the rooms, the nearest store is a 10-15 minute walk away in the village of Hajdukovo.

Volunteers get to the Visitor Center on their own; there is a bus from Subotica to Hajdukovo (route 42, Subotica-Kanizsa: https://sutrans.rs/Redvoznje-42.html) or a train, but from the train station you have to walk further to the Visitor Center).
